Tom has been well-respected for over 21 years as a defense litigator. His practice focuses on automobile liability, products liability, premises liability, and insurance law. Tom’s experience has included over 50 jury trials, supreme court arguments, and numerous appeals resulting in published decisions important to personal injury litigation. Tom frequently serves as an arbitrator and has represented clients in hundreds of mediations and arbitrations. Tom also has appeared on local media as an insurance law expert and has lectured on insurance law topics to fellow attorneys and insurance industry groups.
In 2007, Tom was recognized by the Wisconsin Law Journal’s Verdict & Settlement Reporter for obtaining one of the top 10 zero-dollar defense verdicts for the year. In May 2009, Tom was honored by the Wisconsin Law Journal as a “Leader in the Law” based on achievement criteria such as outstanding leadership, vision, and legal expertise.
Tom graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1983 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Economics. He obtained his Juris Doctor from Marquette Law School in 1986. Tom is a member of the Wisconsin Defense Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Milwaukee Bar Association, and the 7th Circuit Bar Association. In his free time, Tom enjoys traveling, golfing, hiking, and camping with family and friends.
