Michelle is a shareholder, specializing in insurance defense litigation. Michelle’s areas of concentration include coverage analysis and litigation, toxic tort litigation, as well as general personal injury defense.
In the last six years, Michelle successfully litigated seven cases to verdict. In January 2010, Michelle was recognized in the Wisconsin Law Journal’s 2009 Significant Defense Victories article for obtaining a zero-dollar defense verdict. From 2006 through 2010, Michelle was selected as a Wisconsin Rising Star by Milwaukee Magazine in Law & Politics’ “Wisconsin Super Lawyers” survey. Rising Stars are chosen by their peers as being among the top up-and-coming lawyers (40 years old and younger or in practice 10 years or less) in the state. Only 2.5% of the total lawyers in Wisconsin are listed as Rising Stars. In July 2009, Michelle was honored by the Wisconsin Law Journal as an "Up and Coming Lawyer." She was one of 20 Wisconsin attorneys recognized as being on the fast track to making a significant impact on the legal profession. In its February 2010 newsletter, In Motion, the Association for Women Lawyers featured Michelle in a “Member Profile” where she traced her interest in law and shared advice for young attorneys.
Michelle was born and raised in Milwaukee. She graduated from Colorado State University with a B.A. in Political Science in 2000 and obtained her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2003. Michelle is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Milwaukee Bar Association, the Wisconsin Defense Counsel, and the Association for Women Lawyers. In her free time, Michelle enjoys sailing and spending time with her family.
