 On October 2, 2010, our co-worker and friend, Jean Olson, passed away after a brave battle with breast cancer. A few days before, S&D had joined with family and friends to honor Jean by walking in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. It was a rewarding experience, and the beginning of a new tradition for S&D. We hope to participate in the annual Race for the Cure for many years to come, in memory of Jean and for all the others we know who are battling breast cancer.

We are happy to announce that Jean’s Team 2011 was a big success!! Thanks to all those who participated or donated funds to our cause. We had 62 team members and far surpassed our fundraising goal by raising a total of $4,200.00 for Susan G. Komen of Southeastern Wisconsin! A majority of these funds will help women of Southeastern Wisconsin have free access to mammograms and other breast cancer screenings. We are very happy to have helped this charity, so vital to our local community.
Of course, our successes are bittersweet in that this was our first year without Jean. However, it was wonderful to be able to celebrate her memory with her friends and family, as well as friends of the firm. We proudly continue Jean’s fight for a cure!
